Bordes gets Mullins off to winning start at Leopardstown
It was a very good performance considering he got unsighted at the first and Patrick said it just unnerved him for the rest of the race,. He didn't jump properly, he's a way better jumper than that. I'm hoping that there is a lot of improvement in his jumping. He looks a tip top animal. We've always thought a fair bit of him. He'd want to brush up his jumping but he'd look like one that could maybe come back here for a Grade 1 at the Dublin Racing festival. He looks to have that type of an engine. Kawaboomga ran great to be second, he stayed on well and probably wants a trip. I was very happy with Zillow, who learned a lot from his first run to this run. I think he's a horse that's going to improve as well.
Workahead too strong for rivals
Hello Neighbour wins Grade Two on hurdling debut
That was great. It was a brave call to come here on his first start and thankfully he hung on,.
3 first past posts for Fenton's Shraheen
The race didn't exactly go to plan. He wasn't to be as handy as he was but his jumping over the first couple took him there and I suppose he had to commit him then after that,. He's a big horse and he's improving, he's certainly going the right direction. Being by Mount Nelson, they generally want a bit of nice ground but he's from a good family who have won in all sorts of ground. He looks like a nice horse, he's a lovely big chaser. We'll might have a go at another festival with him.
Elliott-dominated Leopardstown feature with Croke Park just on top again
He’s been busy enough and probably doesn’t need to run again before Cheltenham. I don’t think he wants real winter heavy ground. He maybe didn’t jump as well as he did the last day. Sam (Ewing) said he slipped going into the first. The second horse didn’t lose much in defeat either, probably more of a test will suit him. He was well up after the line. Even when he won the Martin Pipe in Cheltenham he looked like a real stayer. As he’s named, there will be Better Days Ahead.
Nolan bags across the card double with Dearg
I honestly didn't give him that much of a chance. I was hoping he'd run respectably,. He had a good run the last day. Jim was the one you wanted to come here and he was dead right so we're very happy. Sean said he tends to go a little bit right so he jumped off on the inside but then he moved to the outside because he seemed to be happier out there. I thought he was very good over the last few fences and that's what sealed it for him. I thought he'd win jumping the last but then they sort of quickened again a little bit and he barely got up. Thankfully he was on the right side of the nod. We had a nice winner in Limerick in Release The Beast. He did it very nicely and I'd say he's a nice young horse, he looks to be better over a fence. He's owned by the same sort of men so they are all delighted.
Leopardstown finale sees Willie and Patrick complete a brace
That was a very good performance, he's a nice type,. I'm very pleased, he looks a good staying type and I think he'll improve. We'll find a winners bumper for him. It looked a strong bumper and I'd imagine you'd have to look at coming back here for the DRF with him. He's a course and distance winner so we'll have a crack at that.
