Tab swoops late for the Slevins
He won a point-to-point and was placed over hurdles. The jockey was important to him today as he knows him well and he's not an easy ride.
Oilily burns off rivals
That was coming to her. It took her a good while to come back from her run at Aintree last year. She likes the sun on her back, and today's ground (good to yielding) is better than you would think. She wants good ground. She has the age and experience now, and she'll go for the mares race (two and a quarter miles) at Punchestown.
McDermott excels on tough Novarov
Sean gave him a savage ride. He can be tricky in that he hits flat spots in his races but he's got endless stamina. He came up against a well-handicapped horse last time (Up For The Match at Gowran). He goes on most ground but wants a trip. He won on the Flat in Germany but is as slow as a boat. There seems to be some value out there at the moment in buying horses.
Whisky's sister gains precious win
She's a nice tough mare and she stays very well. She's a half-sister to Oscar Whisky and already has some black type. She will probably be put in foal to Flemensfirth now. Hopefully she can win a chase before she retires to the paddock.
In-form Doyle strikes again with Loujay
He's always worked well but just needed time and is coming to himself now. He ran poorly on heavy ground at Navan the last day but he needs this good ground.
Newcomer Lughnasa takes Cork bumper
her owner, Salome Brennan, is also the breeder of Whatwillwecallher and Lughnasa will now go for the mares' bumper at Punchestown which Whatwillwecallher won last year for us.
