Dooley another for Richard O'Brien
That's great. He seemed to be in great order after Roscommon and we were looking forward to today,. Sean has given him a peach of a ride. He jumped and felt that they were going no gallop so he said he'd do that and he was spot on. He was nice and prominent in Roscommon and we felt the fast pace there really helped him. We both agreed that if he wasn't going to get a good gallop there was no reason he wouldn't make it himself. He has a thing hanging over him that he's not the most honest of horses but he looked honest there and he's loving it. There is a race in Down Royal next Friday over seven and that's an option. Now he's starting to get up to the stage where Galway will be an option as well. I'd love to see him on really quick ground as I think there might be a little bit more to come. I have four in training at the moment and the four of them have won. That's the third lad that's after winning for a second time. The owner Michael Kearney is home from Dubai. He rang me in May and sent the horse to me and I'm very grateful.
Hunaina another to make all at Leopardstown
She's very consistent. Pat just said to me beforehand that he didn't think there was much pace and he said 'I might let her roll along'. He got the tactics right,. He's terrific in front. When he read the form, obviously he knew what he was looking at, and he thought it looked the night to try it. She's used to leading Rehana at home all the time so we knew she'd go in front. It's nice to win another one with her. Conor Hoban, when he rode her the last day, said 'I wouldn't be afraid to step this one up'. It was a team effort. I'll talk to Pat (Downes) and see if we can find a three-year-old fillies handicap for her.
Meld goes to Moonlight under Manning
He was in really good form coming into tonight. I was telling myself that if he didn't win this evening I can't win with him. We've had a good run over the last few weeks and that makes all the difference. He's run good races at lots of places and the only bad one was in the Derby. He obviously didn't handle Epsom and might not have been at the top of his game at that time. He's getting back there and hopefully we can bag a better one before the year is out.
Well-backed Rose takes the Stanerra
It was great. Ana won on her the last day and the time before when she rode her she said she doesn't like getting hit and not to hit her,. Ana rode her the last day in Fairyhouse and didn't hit her. Today she came with a lovely run but when Seamus gave her flick she didn't like it. Seamus said she's coming right now so that was great. Seamus gave her a great ride but when he gave her a backhander you could see her react. I didn't know that about her until Ana said it. Obviously she stays so she has a lot of options. She could go for the Park Hill in Doncaster, she looks that type of filly. She quickened today. She's a very well-bred filly and is closely related to Islington.
