Cleary is Truly Delighted with his win
It was a nice win and not totally surprising as she loves that soft ground and I was glad to see the rain come. She was down as low as 53, but I had faith in her. I would have been happy with being in the first three today, but I'm truly delighted!. She'll go handicapping now. She's entered tomorrow, but we don't need to run her now. It's an emotional win as Fran's aunt Carmel Fay passed away a short time ago. She was a great racing fan and her brother Paddy Berry is one of the owners.
Two Kerry wins in a week for Fulminata
Sho Girl proves to be a Listowel star
I'm very very pleased with her as she lost her way a bit. She won an ordinary maiden on dirty ground at Roscommon, but I think yielding is even too quick for her. She wants it up to her garters. I took a chance with the mile and six. I wasn't sure she would get the trip, but Declan was and he gave her a very confident ride. She's entered at Tipperary over a mile and a half, but will only run if it rains and it would have to be heavy.
Owega Star earns crack at graded company
He had a good run the last day and has won round here before so we were pretty confident he would run well. He stays well and is a real galloper. He could go to Tipperary at the end of the month for a graded novice chase then he'll have a bit of a break and we'll freshen him up for a run at Christmas. He enjoys a cut. We started him off early in the season hoping it would be a wet summer like last year. We were running him on ground that was a bit quick. Hopefully he'll climb the ladder a bit.
Lynch and Fiery Oscar land the feature
That's a grand win, it's grand to win a race anytime. That's his seventh National Hunt win.
Blackwell Synergy another for the Byrnes
It's a fabulous day for a Kerry man! It's great to get a winner at my home track. It's great for the two Byrne brothers to get two winners in two days. Things were a complete disaster in Killarney. Two fell in front of him and he got bumped. I thought he had a good chance, he had been working well, but I didn't think he would do it the way he did it. We might try him in one of the competitive handicaps later in the year or if not he might go chasing.
