Concorde gets off to a flyer at Gowran
That's our first two-year-old runner of the year. He's a nephew of Grey Swallow and I like him a lot. He's a really nice colt. Our two-year-olds have been a bit backward this year. Pat said he tired a bit close home, and he was left in front as nobody wanted to make it. We'll see how he comes out of this before making plans but I think he's a stakes horse.
Korbous records shock debut win
I couldn't believe how well he's been working at home, and I told Seamie he wasn't a no-hoper!. He's a lovely laidback horse, and we just wondered how he'd pull together today as he'd been working nice and free at home. He found an extra bit under pressure. It will be hard to place him now after winning first time out.
Magic feature win for McLoughlin
She's a tough filly and she kept at it well. A mile is probably her best trip. She was off a mark of 96 when with Jessica Harrington a few years ago, and has dropped down 19lb.
Annie is more than Ok on return to turf
She never grew a bit over the winter but she quickened up well. After the last day in Dundalk the rider said she just doesn't like it there. She won on similar ground in Sligo last year. I expected a good run but I didn't expect that.
Moscow proves a real Treat
It will be more of the same for her now, and she'll be kept on the go. We'll see what the handicapper does but he shouldn't be too hard on her as he gave her 5lb for her last run in Cork. That was my first winner in a long time, and I'm glad to get it. I'm delighted Marc was on her as he sat up on a horse for the first time with us.
Hoban arrives on Time for Legendary double
That's brilliant and it's nice to have a winner for John O'Shea. He had an ankle injury during the week but that will cheer him up now. He's over in Portugal at the moment with his family on holiday. She deserves that win. She goes into the stalls late and if they don't open straight away she'll be left in them. I'm delighted for the young fella (Conor Hoban) as well as he was very cool on her.
Zariyna just prevails in thriller
Johnny said she's a nice filly and she should come on from that run. She's better on grass.
