Matin has the answers for all the greys
That was brilliant. I knew the trip was going to be the issue. Just with his mark I thought the handicapper was a little lenient after Wexford. We ran him over two miles the last day at Galway but it's too short for him, we took a chance with him today,. We'll step him up now, he wants two five or two six at least. It was a nice little race and Bryan gave him a beautiful ride. Hopefully we'll get the double later. I don't have anything in mind for him, but he might go back over hurdles. He is rated 104 over hurdles and we might try exploit that a little bit.
Black has Lartigue in mind for Teqany now
Coming off the Flat we thought he'd be a bit free and he was. He handled it well and he probably wants to go the other way around really. He was lugging into the right with Danny. The nice bit of ground suited him. It was the plan (to make all) because he is keen. He jumps well. We have him since shortly after Christmas and we just gave him a bit of a break then. He is back in eight or ten weeks. He is a decent type of horse and we are thinking of Listowel now, he might go for the Lartigue. That's on the agenda but we'll see. I'm based just outside Bunclody. We have mainly point-to-pointers and we only have three or four for the track. We have twelve to fourteen to go point-to-pointing and they are all four-year-olds.
2 in bag and could be more to come at Tramore for Ingleby
He was impressive there and won well. Sean said it just got a bit tight coming down the hill. He winged the second last and the last and put it to bed fairly quick,. He is a nice horse and is only a four-year-old. He's only starting to grow up now, and learn his job. Just talking to Sean there we might have a go at something in Listowel. He is in again here on Saturday night on the Flat and it might be an option.
Blackmore doubles-up on Mysloegin
It was far from the plan to be in front. Nobody wanted to make it though, and Rachael knew Willie's had good toe, so she had no option really. Rachael doesn't make too many mistakes and seems to make the right decision the whole time! She is brilliant, and I have to give her every bit of credit. The mare jumps really well for her. Paul was unlucky on her the last day. He was beaten in a photo finish, so that was good compensation. I put her into this race last Thursday (before Sligo). It's not often I make the right decision! . I think she might have a little break to freshen her up. Hopefully the ground will stay good. She seems to appreciate nice ground.
No kidding Dooly has his horse right for home win
I thought he'd run well. I thought he'd run well the last day at Tipperary too, but after six races on the chase track the ground went against him, it was kind of slippy. It was well watered and he just didn't enjoy it all that day,. I'll always have him right for Tramore anyway!
Tornado gets Dudfield off the mark
It's Ruth's second ever ride and I’m delighted for her. She's done a great job there. She is from England, near Banbury and has been riding out at Willie’s for nearly two years now. She loves her horses and her racing, and it’s great to be able to give her a winner.
