Chaos in Tramore opener as fav' left at start
it's great to get a winner - I think my last was about two years ago! . It's great for the syndicate, who're from Malahide, and have had a lot of nice horse with me over the years. Like this one, a lot of them are Aga Khan bred and I was worried about the ground today as her best run was for John Oxx over a mile on heavy ground. I've only three horses at the moment and hopefully our luck is changing and we'll get a few more now.
Delahunty Bursts onto the scene at Tramore
I have my license about five years and have four horse at the moment. he ran well at Gowran the last day and I knew he was in good form today. He's bred to jump, is a half brother to Monet's Garden and he'll jump a fence too. He's entered at Fairyhouse on Saturday but I doubt he'll go there.
'Genuine' Bold Becky gets it together
she is a genuine little mare . she ran well in her first handicap at Mallow and then jumped terrible the last day at Killarney. Eddie (O'Connell) was very good on her.
Vendome enjoys safe passage for easy win
Still it's nice when a horse falls to see them come back and jump well and he jumped super today. he's a summer horse really and all his best form is on good ground. Emmet (Mullins) usually rides him but he's away in Australia with Simenon. Simenon runs on Saturday in a prep run for the Melbourne Cup and his weight is spot on at present and Emmet said he's in as good form as he has ever been.
O'Connell doubles up on Coldstonesober
they didn't go a great gallop early on but he was probably entitled to win with his rating of 107. It wasn't the greatest race in the world but he kept at it well.
