Holistic Approach makes winning debut

He will be a smart horse especially when he steps up a bit. He's a nice prospect. There won't be an awful lot for him now except maybe the Killavullan. We'll see how he comes out of this. He'll get a mile anyway. We won't mind if he doesn't get any further as long as he gets it quick enough.

He's consistent and great fun,. He's out in the paddock full-time and loves being out. He was a bit anxious in a stable and was weaving a bit and being overactive. He's turned a corner completely since we turned him out. We'll probably look at Dundalk in two weeks time at the Listed Mercury Stakes over five furlongs.

To be honest I thought she might need the run stepping back up to a mile having been dropped back to five last time,. Ana (O'Brien) rode her last time and told me to put her back up in trip. I'd imagine running over the five really sharpened her up. She got a beautiful ride today and he waited with her and switched her off. Donagh (O'Connor) put him forward for the ride. I spoke to his agent then and he was very complimentary about him. He rode once before for me and we were happy to use him.

That was the plan - it has been the plan all season and it was great to get him in off such a low weight. He's very tough. It looked like he got headed a furlong out but he pulled it out again. It was a perfect ride from Chris. We told him to keep it simple . He's riding very well so we left it to him to do the rest of the game plan. He stays very well and might jump a hurdle but today was the plan and we haven't thought beyond this. We'll talk to the owner now. It's fantastic to win such a good race.

Alveena goes out on a high

She's a very brave mare and has been winning all year for us. She started by winning in handicap company and was Group 2 placed. She came back here and got a brilliant ride to win the finale. That's her last run and it's job done now. She's a stakes winner and is Group 2 placed so I'm very pleased with the year.
