McManus' View belies market slide at Limerick

I'm delighted with that as it was his first run back following a break and I had to give him time after his run (in June) as he threw a splint. It was grand place to start him off and he handled the ground well. He had plenty horse under him two out and he's a beautiful horse who will jump fences in time. He's not too bad and hopefully will go on to better things but we'll look for a little novice next maybe at Christmas. I've had one winner for J.P. McManus in the past and he had previously been a great supporter of Michael's (O'Brien, late father-in-law).

He'd nearly want to be winning that but I bought him as a chaser. I'm to sure what we do with him now but I think he isn't at his best as a hurdler and could make a very relaxed and decent chaser. We could start schooling him over fences next week and then pick a suitable chase for him. He is owned by a very loyal owner Greg Coleman, from Cork city; without loyal owners you're at nothing.

He lost his way completely and had a bad cut in his hind leg which took a lot to get right. We almost gave up on him but he was a lovely horse in his earlier days and isn't the same horse as when winning his maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe a few years ago.

that was great for Steve who has been a great supporter of mine. He hasn't been well and I told him not to come today with the weather being so bad. He'll have got as big a buzz from watching it on TV though and was on the phone straight after the race. He (Holeinthewall Bar) was mugged on the line twice this year and he's the type of horse who would also win in England. He is for sale and is handicapped over fences and his jumping today was impeccable.
