The Parishioner sheds his maiden tag
Jarob books a trip to Galway
He loves that ground and can't go on yielding. He's a born chaser but I thought we might take a little hurdle on the way!. We'll look at the beginners chase at Galway now. He wants a trip.
Quarton makes up for Friday's near miss
I thought he might win both days, but he was a bit unlucky on Friday night where things didn't go to plan. He jumps fences as well so he'll be okay as he has plenty of options.
Aranhill is Chief of Bellewstown
I think he could be a Galway Plate horse for next year. I decided to go to Ballinrobe the last day to give him a hurdle run. I thought he would have put up a much better show, but they watered the hell out of the ground and it was dead. If it wasn't for Bellewstown I probably wouldn't be involved in racing as I was brought up near here. My first memory was coming here when five with my father. The owner breeder Pa Kelly is from Galway and is 76 and is still training greyhounds.
Delighted Austin finds the Route to success
She had been working a lot better than she ran the last day (pulled up at Wexford last month). She had her wind done since last year and that might have helped her.
Diamondgeezer Luke's to Galway
I suppose we'll go to Galway now. He's entitled to now after winning his last two.
Abolitionist enjoys a trip to Bellewstown
Good ground is the key to this fella. I thought he might have gone up too far (in the handicap), but he's improving all the time and he's Galway-bound now. If he gets into the beginners' chase on Thursday he'll go for that and if not we'll find a hurdle race for him. He'll have a few entries.
Totally Dominant a well named Mullins horse
I kept things simple and he only does what he has to do. I like that in him. He could go for a winners' bumper in Galway. We might also consider a mile and a half maiden there. I think we'll keep him going on good ground as he's bred for it.
