Dul Ar An Ol takes opener at Fairyhouse
That was his first run for me. I don't really know a whole lot about him but on his homework he had stones in hand coming here. He was boiled over before so that was a worry, he is a bit of a character. Today was the plan and it worked out well. I don't mind where we go after, he might go back on the flat as he's loads of toe.
Russell picks one day suspension
For Bill doubles up for Russell
Lynch/Gilligan win feature at Fairyhouse
He ran well at Navan the last day. He's a family horse, he injured his tendon and missd two years so it's great to get him back. We thought about the Irish National but as he was a novice we left it. That'll be the long term plan for next. He will go for the three mile novice chase at Punchestown next.
Russell records Fairyhouse Treble
He did that very well. He got his conditions today three miles on soft ground. The softer the better for him. The ground will dictate his plans really, if it stays soft we'll keep him on the go or if it dries up we'll wait until the other side of the Summer.
Noble Concorde handed race
I have a handful of horses for Dr Lamb and it was great to get a winner. The horses are in good form and running well at the moment.
Duff's good run continues
She's a wonderful mare a great joy to train. Today was a real step up in class but she rose to the ocassion. I was disappointed that Katie [Walsh] was suspended today but Andrew gave great her a wonderful ride. Punchestown beckons but we'll have to see how she comes out of the race. I'm delighted for her owners the O'Neill's they are great sport and very patient with their horses.
