Favourite backers off to bright start at Cork
Dolly pleases her supporters
Her owner, David Keoghan ran in a 400 metres at the Olympics. She's a nice filly, we didn't know how she'd go on the ground but she obviously went through it. We hope that she'll make into a stakes filly.
Weld & Smullen gain their reward
It's always nice to have a winner at Cork's Easter meeting. He did it well and liked the ground. He'll go for a handicap now.
Lordan lands a double on musical
Walsh on the mark with another well-backed winner
We had two winners at the Easter Festival last year so we're delighted to have the same again. We'll mix-it with her and she loves the soft ground. She'll go for another handicap next. The owner, Una Fitzpatrick is from Kanturk and that's the filly's third win for her.
Express revels in mud in Imperial Call Chase
The deeper the ground the better and there is no point in running him unless it's like that. He has to have it at least soft to heavy. Unless the weather stays like this he'll go out to grass. That's probably my biggest training success.
Willie off the mark over fences
We've been a long time waiting for that. He was running in Grade 1 hurdles last season and I didn't think he'd still be a novice in April. He probably prefers nicer ground being by Zaffaran. His owner (Jim Gleeson) has been in hospital since October so this will be a nice tonic for him.
