Robyndeglory finds plenty under Queally
She was probably never going to get beaten to be fair, but she'd want further. She wants 2m6f but this was a grand opportunity. She is lairy and would have been better with a lead. As soon as I pass a fitness test, in ten days time, I'll be turning professional.
Penny drops with Elite Des Mottes
She is a gorgeous Network filly and it took a while for the penny to drop, she was quite childish about racing, but in fairness to her owner Sean Maguire he showed loads of patience,. Now that she is learning her job, she could be a nice filly going forward. She is lovely big and scopey, and should also jump a fence.
Digby delivers double for Deegan
Richie said he is a grand horse, is still a bit raw and said they went a good gallop. He said he knew from the bottom of the straight he had them covered and he stays going well, we thought that ourselves after his Sligo win. Winter ground is an unknown but has been running on quick ground and that's the softest ground he has run on yet. He has been on the go a while but we'll see what the boss man (owner Pat Conway) wants to do. He'll jump fences next year.
April's Moon rises to give Queally his double
If at first you don't success succeed, try, try and try again! She is a sister to a Grade One winning hurdler (Black Op) and has been very frustrating and has been knocking on the door. With her rating, it was hard to know whether to go for a maiden or a handicap but we got into this race and it is brilliant for Paul Rothwell, her breeder, and the boys. They are a bunch of country lads from Cork, Limerick and Wicklow and are great lads to train for and have another horse with me. It is brilliant for her pedigree and I'm thrilled. It's possible we might give her a break now.
Market spot on with Dancing On My Own
Tyner triumphs with well-backed Dontdooddson
that was Paul's (Cawley) first ride for us. We were looking for a claimer and got him on Friday and everything went according to plan. The horse was great and Paul did everything right. The horse is back to form, we didn't know what happened him last year and he just wasn't right. Hopefully he can keep going now.
Wa Wa brings up McLoughlin's brace
He is a nice horse and Gary O'Brien (RTV presenter) owns him with a few friends.
O'Keeffe doubles up on dominant Stealthy Tom
The day he won his hurdle race in Wexford, he pulled himself up in front so we put blinkers on today to help the rider. He liked the trip and we'll follow the races that he can get into now. It's nice he goes on soft ground now also.
