Venture springs 33/1 surprise
I ride him out at home and had him in his point-to-point's. Obviously Diarmuid does a better job than me! . We knew he was a nice horse, but he just didn't get the trip in point-to-point's. Micheal give him a great ride. He is based with Philip Hobbs in the UK and he is going to go conditional when he goes back over there.
Bobby & Bates make a good team
He stayed going and he got a brilliant ride from Declan. He had him in the right place all the way. It's great because his owner John Mahon is over from America. He is originally from Longford but has been in America for years. It's good to get a winner at Galway and we will try and get something similar for him now.

That was the plan for a long time, we had it in our head's. I was afraid she wouldn't come up the hill as she does tend to empty. She was ridden into the race today and that's the way she will be ridden from now on. It help that there was two making a strong pace. Hopefully there is more to come with her. She is not a big filly but she is a cat to jump and may go over fences in time.
Gutsy Girl scores for Morgan
We think she was in season on Monday as she was a bit dead in herself. She's hardy and you could run her three days a week. She is dead genuine, but she just lacks a gear. Once she got her teeth into the hill and the other horse got to her girth, she kept on. She is entered in a mile handicap at Leopardstown on Thursday and she could go there.
Truckers makes no mistake this time around
Thank God for that after the week we have had. He always pulls it out of the fire for us. He is a real Festival meeting horse. He was unlucky on Tuesday. I am so delighted to have at least a winner as I thought I was going to have a good week. I thought he would win twice but he was unlucky the first day.
Cheap buy Acclaimed wins again for Morrison
He stays well and he is by Sulamani and they all stay well. He is the third horse out of the dam to win around Galway which is extraordinary!. He is badly handicapped over hurdles. He got a rating of 117 for winning a bad maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe. I was experimenting with him as I don't have him that long, I paid only €800 for him as he was a bad box walker. I wasn't sure about the trip for him today but he is staying better than I thought. I gave the young lad the wrong instructions on Monday.
17 the record as Art rounds off Weld's week
It's been a great week and that was a very sweet way to round it off. I'm glad for Leigh who is a local boy. Robbie (McNamara) has had his winners and obviously Pat (Smullen) has had a wonderful week, so its good that Leigh got one on the board. He rode her very well and she will go for a Handicap next.
Impressive Blossom takes Festival finale
She is a decent filly after that. We didn't know about the race in Mallow but after that, we know we have a decent filly on our hands. We will take it from there with here now and should could go hurdling next.
