The future looks bright for Indigo
He was very good. He's a smashing horse with a lovely temperament,. He had been up to Dundalk for the barrier trial and had run very well there so he was like a colt today that had a run already. He was very professional. He's very straight-forward at home and has just always been a really nice colt. I thought he grew a bit there about two months ago and got a bit weak but he's now started to strengthen up again. I've no idea where he'll go now. I have to talk to Michael (Donohoe) and Mr Zhang. It's lovely to get a winner for him first time out. I have five horses for him and he's had two winners and a third now. He did it fairly easily and loved the ground. He's a very easy horse to run because you can switch him off and he can put him exactly where he wants. He went one way and then another way and then got a run. When he got to the front it's wide open spaces, he took a bit of a look and then put his head down and galloped to the line.
Lancaster gets deserved big race win to his name
He's been running at the top level the whole time, all in Group 1's, and obviously we didn't think he'd get a mile-and-a-quarter,. That's the first time we did it with him and let him roll on beautiful ground. He was there for everyone to follow and Seamus gave him a great ride, he went even to halfway and he kept going. He was happy to get a lead but he was going to go level and we were happy to make the running also. He got left there so he Seamus did the right thing. The plan was to come here and then go back to Ascot for the mile race again. I'd imagine that's where he'd go but he'd have an option of the Prince Of Wales now. We thought that the Curragh is a tough place to get a mile-and-a-quarter but he didn't flinch and he kept going. It was a great run from Cliffs Of Moher and we were delighted with him. He relaxed well and came there but just couldn't get past the other horse. We were very happy with his run, it was a very solid run. They found themselves and little bit back off of him (Lancaster Bomber) but he just kept going in front and didn't surrender. His form is very solid and his last run in the Lockinge was a very good run. We were thinking of coming here and going to the Prince Of Wales with Cliffs Of Moher so we'll see now and obviously Idaho goes next week to the Coronation. Some of those horses are still progressing and I'd say he progressed again. He's rated 116. It's a high rating and he's still not finished with maybe.
Platinum provides Halford with 1,000th win
You'd be delighted with that horse. He's a Galileo and we don't get too many Galileos,. He's a horse with a big engine, and always has had, and he loves that ground. He got a bit lonely there in front and wandered, he's done it in the past. I'd say the better the race the better he'll be. Shane said he got a bit unbalanced down the hill. He got there quick then. I think there is more to come from him and we'll aim him at the Irish Derby now. I'd say he'll step up to a mile and a half no bother. You'd have to like the way he goes about things, he keeps improving. He goes on that fast ground. He's out of a Clodovil mare so he'll maybe handle an ease too but he's such a light actioned horse. He ran a blinder the last day, it was his first time up to a mile and a quarter. He's just coming to himself. Our horses were slow to come to themselves over the winter and we had to be patient. The weather was bad, the ground was bad, and I wasn't pushing them. It was all about picking up from here on. He's one of those types that's getting better with racing.
Aared does it again on seasonal debut
He's a grand old horse and we've had him since he was a baby,. He's had plenty of problems over the years and has been operated on for his wind twice. He's had all sorts of problems but he's been a great lead horse. He used to lead Awtaad and he's leading Alghabrah now so hopefully she runs as well as he did and does something similar or near enough. Dylan is a good rider. He's gone back to seven pounds now which is a big help to him and hopefully he'll go on from here.
