Harty's Tovaria wins Curragh opener
Tovaria had colic surgery as a three year old and I am chuffed she has won! She's had three quick runs now but may run in a fillies handicap at Roscommon in mid-August.
Impressive Arctic completes Shanahan double
Arctic is a very well bred horse and has plenty of ability. We had to bring him to Bellewstown, which wasn't ideal for him, in order to get him a run today but he learned a lot from the experience. His owner, Richard Pegun from Australia, bought Arctic just two weeks ago.
Shanahan records Curragh treble on Girouette
Girouette deserved that win, having been knocking on the door recently. Pat (Shanahan) gave her a super ride and I'm delighted for my owners as they have been patient with us while my yard had been enduring a quiet spell.
O'Brien's Noble wins Curragh prize
Alfred Noble gets lonely out in front and it was that greeness that resulted in him being beaten on his first two starts. He is a very good moving horse and can change gears very quickly.
Invincible gains third Curragh success
Snap wins for McAteer/Curtis
the ground was too quick for Snap the last day and this seems to be his ground and track. He'll go to Galway next week for another handicap.
Sagacious wins Curragh finale
Sagacious has possibly done enough racing this year and may now be left off. I see her as a mile and a half filly for next year.
