Flanagan makes a winning return at Leopardstown
Sir Gerhard makes all on hurdling debut
He’s a very good jumper and I’m happy to see him coming out and doing that. I’d like to climb the ladder if I could but he might just have to go into a Graded race next — maybe the Dublin Racing Festival or something like that but I think he’s up to it.
Fil Dor lands Grade 2 in some style
He’s a nice horse and we like him. Even walking around the parade ring he’s so relaxed. The Dublin Racing Festival would be the obvious place to go with him now and if not then straight to the Triumph. It was a good performance and I’m very happy with him.
The Greek edges out Belgoprince in a thriller
Davy gave him a great ride. He was headed and he came back. I was worried about the ground today and he’s been unlucky a few times.
Ferny Hollow lands Grade 1 feature on day one
I thought it was a huge performance to give that weight to a filly that no one has got close to all season. Coming back after an 11-month break with only a three week gap, I was worried all week that I was asking him too much to come back too soon. Everything was against him and he still pulled it out of the bag. I thought it was an awesome performance. He loves jumping and has obviously got an engine. We could have waited another few weeks and gone to Punchestown. We’ll probably come back here for the Dublin Racing Festival and then the spring Festivals.
Grange Walk continues his progress over fences
I couldn’t believe that Danny went to Kempton!
Quevega's son looks smart prospect in the bumper
He’s always shown me that he is decent. He worked well last year and we said we’d put him away until he was more mature. He’s a fine big, long-striding horse and Patrick was keen to let him use his stride from early in the race. That worked as they weren’t able to get past him. Patrick said when he asked him he went up into another gear. He’s shown me at home that he looks like a racehorse but now he is one on the racetrack. He could have a nice future. I’d imagine he’ll take the usual route of the Dublin Racing Festival and then on to the spring Festivals.
