Air Force Blue shows plenty of dash
I thought he'd be a bit green like the filly yesterday (Ballydoyle). Ryan said he winged the gates and was there in front. He just got tired in the last 50 yards which is understandable.
Moore at the double on Master Speaker
It's the Moore factor! Sean Corby has been riding him all along and it's nothing against him but we said we'd try something different. His first few runs this year were phenomenal but we were disappointed with him the last day. In fairness the handicapper has given us a chance and hopefully he won't be too hard after that. We are thinking of the Rockingham, although that's over five but we'll see. He's owned by my niece Kate and we got him out of Ballydoyle.
Curvy steps up to Pattern class
She was a big weak filly last year and has come into her own as a three-year-old. She doesn't do a lot when she hits the front. She could go for the Ribblesdale, and is entitled to go anywhere now.
Al Kazeem delights Charlton in Gold Cup
He's amazing, looks amazing, is brave and all you need in a good racehorse. I'm lucky to have one as good as that and to have him back from stud and I'd say it's my proudest moment. As long as he's enjoying himself he'll keep going, and one day I'm sure he'll go back to stud. Most older horses are a bit stiff and pottery but it's a great credit to his constitution that he never runs a bad race. He's never looked at another filly and just gets on with his work. He'll probably go next for either the Hardwicke or the Prince of Wales's, and as he's won a Group One here he'll probably go for the Prince Of Wales's Stakes. A horse like him is good for racing. Jumpers are around for a long time, and having him has to be good for racing.
Pleascach too strong in 1,000 Guineas
She has a nice bit of toe and is basically not a miler. The Guineas is a bonus. It worked out well with a strong pace. I was a bit worried that a 66 rated filly (Mainicin) could do it, and hopefully it won't affect her mark too much!
Majenta lands morning-price gamble
She would have been a bit unlucky to get beaten. There was plenty of hassle in the straight but thank God she got the run. She had little problems but she is over it thank heavens.
Pyromaniac comes alight in the Curragh
He's very versatile. He'd a great run at Punchestown and won well at Limerick. He's a dual purpose horse and he'll tip away. He got two miles well, and hopefully he'll step up in trip over hurdles. I thought that was a good performance.
Moore brings up treble on Bantry Bay
He was very green the first day and was still green there. He'll stay further and is a massive big horse. He could be a lovely four-year-old.
