Team Camelot win again with The United States
he is green and babyish and you'd have to be very happy with him there.
Coogan makes Winning Impact
He always runs well at The Curragh and he may go to Galway next if the weather stays like this. He loves soft ground and seven furlongs or a mile is his best trip.
Group 3 win for Oliver's Sendmylovetorose
I'm absolutely delighted with that - Colm took the race by the scruff of the neck and it was very straightforward and everything went to plan. She handled the ground but she could go on better ground. She went to Ascot last week but didn't get a run . we didn't know if there would be any hang-ups from that but it didn't take anything out of her. Sendmylovetorose is owned by John Gildea who isn't able to make it today as his wife is in hospital. She took ill during the week but that will be a great tonic for her and hopefully she'll get better soon.
Famous Group 3 performer wins again
Famous Name is a special horse and he always goes out there to battle to win his races. He is an amazing horse to keep performing at Group level and really the key to him is that he has kept his enthusiasm and loves training. We've still got to look for that Group 1 win and he'll go for the Group 1 (the not-so-easy to remember Group 1 Bayerisches Zuchtrennen Stakes) next at Munich, in which he was second last year.
Gosden returns Pretty Polly to Newmarket!
William (Buick) said she didn't like the ground but not many like it that soft. A mile and a quarter is her trip and she tends to pull herself up when she hits the front . she got a bit idle there in the last furlong. We'll look at races like the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood and the Prix de l'Opera in France and we may think about the Breeders Cup too. The best work she has ever done has been in the last few weeks.
Empirico scores for Marnane/Lynch
the handicapper has been fair to Empirico and he was also a bit unlucky on his last two runs. I didn't quite think he'd handle that ground although he was fourth in the Rockingham here last year with a bit of cut in the ground. We'll see what the handicapper does with him . hopefully he won't be too harsh and he may come back here again for another try at the Rockingham on Oaks Day.
Hartani a Leger possible after Curragh Cup win
he is a good stayer and he really does go well on the soft ground. He is a lovely, sensible, good matured horse and the more he went, the more he stretched away. We look on him as a St Leger candidate - we'll have him in both the English and Irish ones before making a decision He is improving and Johnny said of all the horses he rode this weekend, this one handled the ground best.
Captain Cee Bee wins Curragh finale
class is permanent - he is something else! . He'll probably go back hurdling now and we will look at the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary next.
