Wolf grabs chance in opener
He needs good ground and he jumps great. He's no world beater but we'll tip away on good ground with him,. Jumping was the main thing today and the point-to-point experience helped. We've no ambitious plans.
Walsh shines as Anna causes drama
He'll go for the Powers Gold Cup (at Fairyhouse) - that's the plan according to the weather,. Ruby thought the ground might even have gone for him as he likes it quick.
Doyle times it well on Heeled
He deserved that. I aimed high with him the last day and he let me down. I honestly can't put my finger on why,. The ground is the key to him as he has a Flat-ish pedigree and he needs good ground. He's not really a mid-winter horse and is more for the spring/autumn. We probably sent him hurdling a season too soon. We'll see how he is after this and he could either be let off or go for a three-mile novice handicap.
Lantern defies long absence in mares
I thought she might just struggle against the more experienced jumpers but she has been going nicely,. She keeps going and loves the good ground. I have her since last October and she was ready to run before Christmas but we didn't want to run her on soft ground. She's closely related to Forpadydeplasterer.
Frisco fabulous in Limerick feature
He had a good run last time (second to Flemenstar) and prefers that better ground,. Bryan keeps his mounts very collected and I'm lucky to have him. He could go to Punchestown for a novice handicap next.
Walsh the Star with Summer
She surprised me the last day and I was pleasantly surprised today again,. She has a good Flat pedigree and her dam is a half-sister to a good horse. There is a small possibility she could go for the Grade One bumper at Punchestown but she might go for a two-mile Flat race. She's a quality Flat-type mare and she jumps well, but I've no intention of going jumping with her for a while.
Hourigan doubles up with Society
He'll either go for a handicap at Cork or Fairyhouse next,.
