I'll probably step him up in trip. The novice race at Thurles (Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle on 25th February) might be the job,. He's improving all the time and will improve for a trip and better ground as well.
Front running War hangs on for victory
It was a good performance today. We'll see how he is after this and take it step by step with him,. We'll see what weight he gets (in the Grand National). He could go for the World Hurdle depending on how he is. It's his last season and he's not going to get abused. The World Hurdle looks a one-horse race on the betting. We'll see how he is tomorrow and all options are open for him.
Russell records quick double as Last left in lead
Davy said he was a bit awkward but when he met them right he was very good,. I thought the track would suit better today as it's more galloping. I don't think we'll do too much more over hurdles. He'll go chasing. He's built to be a chaser and bred to be a chaser. I just thought he was entitled to get a hurdle on the way.
William back to form for Cooper
He's come back to form thank god. I had a horrid time since Christmas. Everything I ran over Christmas was off colour,. He's been a tricky horse but I think he's sorted out now. He'll make a lovely chaser. Where we go now I don't know. I say he'd get two-and-a-half with a proper gallop. He just needed freshening up and is only back in three weeks. David said he just got by on fitness and he should improve for the run.
Ballyburke impresses in bumper
It's a great result. I felt he was unlucky at Limerick as he was left a long way behind and it was on the inside track which didn't suit him as he's a big horse,. I spoke to Mr (Frank) Berry after Limerick and he asked me if I liked him. Very kindly they bought him off me ten days ago. He's a good horse but I think he's a next year horse. It's up to JP and Frank what they want to do but I'd like to let him out to grass.

I thought he learned a lot jumping wise. He got real experience. He'll probably go for the RSA now,. Hopefully better ground will bring out more. He appeared to improve for better ground last spring.
Shakervilz earns Arkle spot
I'm absolutely delighted. Ruby asked him every question and he answered everything,. He's doing everything right for me. I imagine he could travel over for the Arkle although I have to discuss it with the owner. His jumping was so accurate and quick and he got great experience today.
