Domesday Book takes Navan opener
he's a lovely horse, big and still very immature. I was hoping for that but he's such a baby and the penny is only starting to drop.
Bertolini survives error for McCann/Moore win
Jonathan gave him a super ride, and he's one of the best up and coming 7lb claimers around at the moment. He only joined us three weeks before Oliver (Brady) passed away. Oliver always thought a lot of this horse, and said he wouldn't be a horse until he was five or six. He's still a bit weak, and we may give him a little break as I don't think he'll go on heavy ground.
No More Heroes lays waste with Grade 2 win
I think he's a very nice horse. Barry said they didn't go fast enough for him, and he was a bit guessy at a few of them. I'm not sure where he'll go next, and Naas (Grade 1 Lawlors Hotel Novice Hurdle, January 4) may come a bit quick for him. He's a three-mile horse for Cheltenham and I'd be looking at the Albert Bartlett. He's a real relaxed horse and does everything at his own pace.
Enright assumes Duties on hat-trick hero
there weren't that many options before Christmas and this was a good pot to get. I was delighted with the way he stayed on and he could now go for a novice between two and a half and three miles. It's just unfortunate that Davy (Russell) couldn't do the weight (10st6lbs).
Memories sets sights on Grade 1 glory
this race was two miles and four furlongs at the original stage (in the racing programme) but I missed the text when it was changed back to 2m1f. We said we'd let him take his chance though, as if we wanted to run at Christmas he needed a prep run. He's in the Topaz (Grade 1, Leopardstown) over three miles and he's not done anything to suggest we shouldn't go there.
Mount Colah records seventh win
Sizing seizes opportunity in dramatic chase
it was very good for a first round of jumping in that he was able to fiddle a few down the back. Things didn't go the way of John Ryan (trainer of Draycott Place) today but they went right for us, and that's racing.
Mullins bumper winner is Cheltenham bound
he's a horse I liked before his first run, and he's done nothing to disappoint me; he looks a real good horse. All going well he'll go to Cheltenham in March and he'll probably have one more run before then.
