Ice Age claims Curragh opener
He's just kept on improving this year,. He's so quick into his stride that sometimes he was doing too much too early and then not quite getting home. Now he's learned that even though he'd quick into his stride he doesn't have to go flat out and he's improving all the time. He's won that off 96 and I don't quite know where were are going to go now. He's in the Ayr Gold Cup but I still don't think he'd going to get in with a penalty.
Shamreen doubles up in Blandford
It was a very good performance by her. I thought she did it very well when she won the Royal Whip here the other day and this was even better today,. She's won the race two years running and is a very valuable mare. I think she's entitled to have a crack at a Group 1 now so the Prix de L'Opera would be a logical target. She like the filly that won yesterday Eziyra. They are tough, game, genuine, courageous fillies. Eziyra will go for the Group 1 fillies and mares at Ascot. This race has been very lucky for us down through the years. We'll see how the two fillies get on on their next races before we make a decision (on staying in training). Shamreen is a four-year-old and doesn't have a lot more to achieve other than a Group 1. I'm delighted with the way things are going. I told everybody they wouldn't be back for Galway and of course nobody believed me. I said they'd be back coming up to Champions weekend and you saw that they would and they are. The plan always with this filly was the second half of the year.
Caravaggio back with stunning success
Happily pips Magical in Moyglare
That's the third Group 1 winner out of the mare. It's amazing,. She toughed it out and Ryan's filly ran a stormer as well. Seamie's filly ran well and so did Wayne's filly. They'll all step up when they go further than a mile, you'd imagine. Donnacha gave her a great ride. He was delighted to be on Magical. In all fairness they never question anything and that was just the way it happened. When the other filly didn't run Ryan got on Magical. It's strange the way things happen. I wanted to run Clemmie but I promised if heavy came into the description we wouldn't run. I was mad to run her. With the view to going to Newmarket and going to the Arc weekend she needed to run. I couldn't do it to her in the heavy ground as she's a real good ground filly. She might have been okay but then heavy came into it. We would have run on soft. They stay well those fillies (that ran) and are all seven furlong or mile fillies. I wouldn't shorten any of them up. They would fillies for the Boussac and the Fillies Mile while Clemmie could go for the Cheveley Park.
Bolger has another star in Dexterity
He's a very good horse. We loved him here the first day and then I got it wrong when I went back to six. He needs the seven even though he has plenty of toe. Seven or a mile is his real cut,. He handles any ground. It was good ground the last day over six and it was still a good effort. We were fairly optimistic that we would turn the tables going seven. I can see him as being champion European two-year-old! He's the real deal. He's as good as any of the two-year-olds I've had. He has a marvellous temperament, great looks. He has everything and is the complete package. He's as good as any of the ones that have won the Dewhurst for us. Any of those five. I would think he'll go for the Dewhurst next. He's a very sound strong limbed horse and I don't see any problems with faster going or deeper going it will all come alike to him. There is no need to look beyond a mile. When you have a horse like that you don't need to think about going further.
George in different league to Leger rivals
I'm delighted with him. We know he stays and handles soft ground. He went there strong today,. His options would be the Melbourne Cup or the Arc. He'd be very comfortable over a mile-and-a-half if there is an ease in the ground. Ryan let him relax. He moved up just to move up a little bit and he locked on to him. He just said he kicked into gear and he didn't want to disappoint him then.
Cox completes fine weekend with Jazzy
He was impressive. He was giving a bit of weight away. He's a determined and gutsy performer and has a bit class,. I'm delighted to win a big pot today. I hope and think that he's a stakes horse.
Bolger doubles up with Panstarr
It was good. To win any race this weekend is nice,. Rory gave her a terrific ride and he is a star. I think she handles any ground but handles that ground well anyway. She's entered at Listowel (in a Listed race on Wednesday) but may not get there this week.
