Macville wins Limerick's opener
Macville is improving all the time and while we had thought about going chasing until we saw this Listed race. We were hoping for some blacktype and its great to win with her. We've no plans from here but will keep tipping away with her for the time being.
Cornas wins Pricewaterhousecoopers Chase
Ikansea fells Giant Sequoia
Gimli's Rock scores for Treacy/Harrington
Maguire's Kite wins Munster National
I never won this race as a jockey myself but it is brilliant to win as a trainer!. Shane gave the horse an outstanding ride and the horse would burst his heart trying for you. He was unlucky at Listowel in the Kerry National where he was unlucky not to be brought down but his rider Brian O'Connell minded him afterwards and brought us back the horse in one piece. We'll enjoy this day and see about plans then. Good ground is the key to him but his heart is bigger than himself so Aintree fences may be too big for him longterm. He is owned by a gentleman, Anthony Calnan, a doctor from Bandon.
Super Daisy doubles up for Leigh & Austin
Super Daisy is a tough mare but we'll probably have to step her up in grade again now as I wouldn't like her carrying big weights in handicaps. She's a longterm chaser in the making.
Hourigan's Cracker wins Limerick finale
Mr Cracker jumped well today and was always going to make into a nice chaser. We'll go for a winners' of one next.
