Maximus pays Johnny back
The visors have helped but in all fairness to him he was off a long time with an injury after getting a cut under his shoulder the day he went through the rails here with Johnny. He came on a lot from his first run back the last day. Seeing as he had such a break he could run again this season.
Luisant gains a deserved success
Thank God. I was very tempted to put blinkers on him but I was convinced he was genuine. It just wasn't happening for him and he'll probably go for the Knockaire Stakes (October 31st) at Leopardstown next. He was very impressive there and it is great to win a Listed race with him. It is a joy to have him seconditis or no seconditis.
Gem completes Ballydoyle's double
That's a nice win to get for a Galileo filly . he is an unbelievable stallion. They don't know when to give up and she is tough and genuine. She won her maiden in Limerick and then disappointed before running well the last day. She is finished for the season now. She'll step-up in trip now over a mile and a quarter plus.
Silver Shuffle surprises at the Curragh
Oxx saddles a 1,2 in final Curragh Listed event
I suspect she'll go home tomorrow though you never know, there could be something abroad for her. She had a promising first run before disappointing a bit though that was on fast ground. She likes the soft, stays well and she has done her mission now. Roses For The Lady has run her last race and she ran well there on ground that wasn't quite soft enough for her. She has won a Listed race and she'll go to stud now too.
Joseph brings up 134/1 Ballydoyle treble
he stays very well.
Bankster another for Big Bad Bob
He is another Big Bad Bob and I'd suppose he was a hundred to one was he? The sire is absolutely incredible he really is. This fellow had done a couple of bits in the spring and recently and he is quite big. I'm delighted with him, he stayed on great. Typical of his sire he didn't stop and was really tough. He looks like he could be up to Listed class after that.
