Easy win for Gerdago in opener at Navan
It wasn't ideal that he had to make it. Eddie said he was still leery in front. He is a real strong stayer. He kind of flatted the third and second last. His jumping is a concentration thing, but he stays well and keeps going, and he is improving from run to run. We were thinking about the Fred Winter before today, but I might run him in a graded race in Fairyhouse in early December first, or there is one at Christmas for him.
Minella Foru shows his class
I'm delighted with that. I'm delighted for JP and to give AP a winner after his 4,000. Hopefully there is more to come with this horse. We will look for something next month at Fairyhouse or Leopardstown at Christmas.
Martin delighted with Dedigout's jumping
That's his ground, he needs soft ground. Any better and it's pointless running him. He won well last year in his first race then lost his confidence in the big novice chase at Leopardstown [Grade 1 Topaz on December 28]. He leaped brilliantly today.

Treble for Martin as Flemenstar scores
He was a bit extravagant. His jumping was a bit big. He let fly at a few down the back, but I'm hoping that was freshness. We will take our time with him, and I'll have a chat with Andy and Stevie (the owners). He is entered in everything but I will give it two or three weeks and decide where next.
Double for O'Connell as King springs surprise
He was a good horse once upon a time. I think the softer ground might have helped him.
Pints are on Porter after 33/1 shocker
We rode him differently today. We bounced him out in front. He is a big baby and he'll be a good horse over fences.
