You always have ups and downs, but this year has been exceptional. We had a very bad herpes virus and the horses were very flat. We didn't have many three-year-olds, but have a nice crop of two-year-olds. Looking at the three-year-olds maybe they wouldn't have won much even if they were healthy and well.

He's a nice horse. The two of them were raw horses just ready to start. Joseph's horse (Masai) being in front wasn't ideal and he was very green. We'll look for a stakes race for the winner.

He has a great attitude and all his homework has been very good. He changed his legs and when I brought him out he quickened up very well and won eased down by six lengths. He's an exciting horse.

She was only beaten in this race last year by two lengths. I was hopeful. She worked with Gordon Lord Byron on Tuesday and he was second. She's very gutsy.

He toughed it out. I was very worried about the ground as he had a bad run earlier on it.

The Fugue shows her devastating turn of foot

That's a sense of relief. It's nobody's fault that the rain came in. She's done it nicely and with Al Kazeem and Trading Leather it's a good form line. William said he could have gone sooner, but he wasn't sure how she would pick up on the ground. I'm thrilled with her. She's still really fresh at this time of year. I'm glad the heavy rain came after the race.
