Palace Rock makes winning start over hurdles
He's a grand horse and Denis thinks a lot of him. He needs to brush up on his jumping but he'll learn from racing. He's a very big horse and the further he goes the better he'll be. He's 17 hands and every day I weigh him he's heavier. He's just maturing. He's a horse that will hopefully go places. He'll probably go to Fairyhouse next for a Graded race that his mother won years ago.
Santa Rossa looks smart in mares maiden
She's a good mare. It wasn't the plan to make the running but he said she didn't settle. That was my only worry, if she was fresh and well on her first run back. He said she gave him a good feel, travelled and quickened at the back of the last. She jumped well and she's a very nice mare. Her form was there in the book as she was a good bumper mare too. The owner will be hoping for black-type over hurdles now. She has it in bumpers but we'll be wanting to get it over hurdles as well.
Rebel Early swoops late for O'Keeffe & Burke
He gave her a brilliant ride. She ran well in Gowran the last day but just didn't jump well enough in the ground. She's not over-big. She had won that race in Gowran the previous year and went up 9lb for it. She just got stuck in the ground last time. He said the track today suited better with the tough finish. She's as tough as boots and kept finding a bit for him. Even though she missed the second last she jumped the last well and was gradually getting there. She has loads of heart. I'll probably go over fences with her sooner rather than later. I might have to leave it until next season now. She wouldn't go on hard ground. She wants nice ground, that was fine today and even a bit better would suit.
Noble Yeats provides Emmet Mullins with quick double
He did that nicely today. It turned into a bit of a match. He jumped well for his first time over hurdles and galloped the whole way to the line. I'd say he's a real nice horse to look forward to next year. We'll probably go over fences with him next year and he'll be a nice three-mile chaser.

Fiveaftermidnight scores for Rothwell & O'Hanlon
Paddy gets on really well with her, he was second on her at Leopardstown last year, and he has a really good understanding of her. The ground the last day in Naas was just that little bit heavier on the chase track and she struggled a little bit. I was worried today as I thought it might still be on the soft side for her but he rode her plenty wide and she loved it. He gave her a great ride. I'm delighted for John Leckey who is a huge supporter of the yard. It's great to get him another winner. We might even look at putting her in foal down the line and running away for the year. She's a lovely mare to have and she's been great. She could also revert back over hurdles and we'll probably keep her going into the summer.
