Stumptown leads home Cromwell one-two in Cross Country Chase
He was right there the other day and was going well (when taken out by a loose horse). I suppose it was lucky enough that it wasn’t too far into the race that he could come back here today. He actually benefitted from the experience of the race the other day. He knew his job much better and has a future at this job. Sean said the other day he was inclined to jump over the hedges where today he flicked through them. He’s a very laidback kind of horse and takes his races well. The second horse also ran well and we’ll probably keep him at this as well. They will both go on a summer break now.

Lossiemouth completes perfect season in Mares Champion Hurdle
It was a good test today. Only scare was up the side when Rachael was dropping back. I wanted to pop and she(Lossiemouth) had a cut at it. It's a privilege to ride both(her and State Man). I hope they stay apart for as long as possible. She didn't jump with same fluency but I think probably Paul was trying to settle her so that she didn't get going too quick. They went a very fast gallop and he was happy enough to let her settle. Off that gallop it was a great performance. Paul wanted to keep the lid on for want of a better word. I think she has done enough for the year now. All being well, she will go for the Champion Hurdle next year, That's the plan at the moment.
Minella Crooner lands a thrilling Pat Taaffe
He's a tough horse who came out of a good home in John Nallen's. The race suited and he seemed to get his own way. He dug in well on the run-in and Sam was very good on him. He dropped his whip so thank God he won. He's a very good rider.

Will The Wise completes a 15/1 double for Cromwell
He’s weak and will be a good horse when he gets to jump fences. Deccy said the pace was very stop/start and he was only getting going at the finish. He’d been going nicely at home and we ran him in a schooling bumper last week. That’s him gone now for the summer and he’ll go hurdling later in the year.
