A Grand Coalition that really works
I thought he was beat going past the line first time but when I had a look on the big screen I was fairly confident,.
Japonica powers home after traffic problems
She's a very nice filly and we've always thought a lot of her. She has done everything bar win,. Gary gave her a great ride and she learned more today than she would in six months of training. I think she is a nice filly for the future and she'll improve a lot with age. She got into all sorts of trouble but she has a bit of class. The thing today was to get her settled and switched off and Gary did that. I think her full-brother (Bohemian Flame), who is trained by Andrew Balding, is going to Ascot.
Your Pal Tal back on track
It's good to have him back. I wasn't really happy with him to be honest. He has been a bit lazy at home and his work has just been okay,. I hadn't run him in a while and was hoping the track would spark him into life. Ronan said he felt well but not at his best and hopefully this can rejuvenate him. Sometimes with these old horses when you get their heads in front they can go on again. We'll persevere with him. The plan was just to try and get him right. We'll see how he comes out of the race now.
Good day gets better for Channon and Whelan
Portage set for Ascot after Listed success
We always thought he'd be suited by a step up to ten furlongs and he loved the ground,. It was a nice race for him and it worked out well. He got towed into it well and we'll see where that takes us now. He's in the Hunt Cup and also has the option of the Wolferton. I'll talk to John (Ferguson) and see what he thinks. He can go asleep in his races and always needs a wake up call. Shane said when he took a hold of him he took off.
