Pace And Passion both vital in tight finish
Swansea goes extra Mile for Walsh family
He'd a couple of good runs last year at Navan in bumpers but he ran poorly at Tramore and Downpatrick and never handled those places at all. He'd a couple of good hurdle runs over the winter, and won well here today. He'll get further, and handles the ground well. He'll probably go for a novice handicap and should win plenty more races in his category.

Nautical sails in to land spoils
He gave him a great ride and was cool and calm. I fancied him the last day in Tramore but he was unfortunate. We learnt a bit from that. He's a nice little horse and deserved that. We'll see if there is anything in Galway for him. He stays, jumps and likes that ground. He's a summer horse and I'll put him away when the ground changes.
Hogan earns his fees on Glandore
I was on holidays and am out of breath after that. He's a dour stayer and won a maiden at Ballinrobe last year. He fell in a chase in the north the last day when going okay. He'll go back chasing and is a nice horse for the summer. He needed every yard of it and doesn't make it easy for you. On the first circuit I was niggling away, and they came back to him. He saves a bit for himself but those ones are better as they are conserving a bit of energy. The owners, Lostwelton Syndicate, are an enthusiastic bunch of lads from Monivea in Galway.
