Marnane's Little Clarinet wins Navan's opener
she's a lovely filly but was a bit green in Leopardstown (on debut) and is still a bit green and will improve next year. We have her in the Tattersalls Sales race next weekend and she might run. She's a filly for next year, she is plenty big enough and still has a little bit of growing to do - I couldn't be happier.
Ballydoyle inmate ends 14 race losing run
Heffernan doubles up on Mallon at Navan
he's done what we've asked him to do - in Roscommon he didn't see out the seven from a bad draw. He had a decent draw today, tucked in and did the stuff - you can't ask anymore than to win. He'll probably go to Listowel now.
'All systems go' for globe-trotting Halford
he did it well and had a lovely run in Ascot and we were lucky enough to get him after that. The owner is a nice man and a big owner and has a couple of nice two-year-olds. Michael (Halford) is in China at the moment with the owner for a few days and Wild Dude is going to run in Korea so it's all systems go at the moment.
Craic gets back to winning ways
I was a bit worried coming here as he worked very badly four days ago - it was probably his worst piece of work ever. I was humming and hawing about coming but his bloods were right so I thought we might as well come. We dropped him out today as he wasn't getting home but he seemed to like it and he got a great ride. He's in the Northfields at the Curragh next weekend and if he gets in he'll go.
Balcony sheds maiden tag at Navan
she was due that as she's been running very consistently. She handled the ground pretty well but handles Dundalk as well so goes on anything really. She deserved to get her head in front - I'm not sure of the plan but the win was the most important part of it.
