Uluru puts herself in the shop window
She's the pick of the bunch this year. We wanted to start her off - we thought she wanted good ground, but when you have the first of the ground it's never too bad. We had the right man on board. Seamie (Heffernan) has done all the work on her and he loved her. He's been good to us and it's a pity he couldn't ride her but he'll be on her the next day, I hope. We had a good replacement. Seven is her minimum. I'd imagine she'll probably be sold, I'd imagine there will be a few phone calls anyway. We're here to sell them. She wasn't wound up for today and I think she's a nice filly going forward.
Gosford one for Lynam and Lee
Golden Days again for Halford and Collins
We're very pleased with her, she battled well. Cian gave her a lovely ride as we were very worried about the ground with her,. They kicked early on and he just bided his time and kept her out on the better ground. She found and she battled hard for him. I'm very pleased that her owners have given me and Michael time to give her a chance and it's repaying them now this year. She's a specialist filly, seven furlongs is her trip and she doesn't get a yard over or a yard under. Wherever the next seven furlongs is now is where she'll head to. Cian was very clever, he kept her on the better ground as it's very chopped up on the inside. Honestly had she not been drawn wide we wouldn't have run her, which is a rare thing to say about Gowran. It was better ground where she was going to be coming up and that was the deciding factor in whether we ran her or not.

Cody finds good opportunity for Lady Lunette
It's a local winner and it's brilliant for the owners (Ms K Curtin) as they've had no luck for a long time. It's a long time since they've had a winner and they are really good owners to have. I'm delighted for them. She's a progressive filly, I'd say she's next year's filly. She's a big, tall, raw, filly and I'd say there is loads to come down the line. At home she only does what she has to do, but Dylan said she has loads of pace. I thought she might want further, but Dylan said a mile plenty is plenty far enough for the time being. She probably won't have too many more runs this year. There is a race in Galway on the Sunday and I thought if she won today we might think about it so we'll see. It's an 80 handicap. The ground was a little worry as Buratinos like nice ground, but Dylan said she handled it no bother - that's the slowest ground she's ever run on. She's a nice filly.
McKenna rides her first winner on 28/1 outsider
I'm delighted for Orla. The race kind of fell apart a little bit for her and she picked it up. She gave her a great ride. Orla is only with me a couple of months, she's a great girl and she works hard. That's only her second ride for me and I'm delighted she's had a winner.
Red Trail gets verdict after battle with Not Just Any Eagle
At the furlong pole I thought we had no chance, passing the line I thought we were up, but then when they showed the slow-mo, I didn't. She's a lovely filly. She won two last year and it looked like she'd come on for that but we went hurdling, and she ran very well one day but the last couple of runs were a bit below par. Coming today she looked great and seemed to be in great form, she seemed back to herself. What the difference was I'm not really sure. I thought we had a chance coming and told the owner we were in trouble if we didn't run well today, luckily she did. She's a good, tough mare, I'll have a chat with the owner now and see. Hopefully, there will be another day with her on the Flat and she'll go back hurdling at some stage.
Cody and Browne McMonagle at double with Navagio
That's my first double, which is mighty. That's a pleasant surprise with that lad,. I knew he'd handle the ground no bother and maybe the trip. Dylan said after the last day at the Curragh over seven to maybe go up in trip. He got the trip today and he battled. He travelled fierce well so I'm thrilled with him. On ratings, I honestly thought fourth was the best we could do today. He was meeting three horses wrong, but it just goes to show on that ground. He seemed to love a good ease in the ground and the race worked out great for him. Often these races don't turn out the way you'd be expecting and that's why we let him take his chance in a small field. He's going to the sales and that's probably his last run for me. He'll be going to Newmarket for the horses-in-training sale. After today he's going home for a break and then to the sales.
