More juvenile joy for Barnes & Prendergast
I'm pleased with that. I have ten two-year-olds and with two winners at home we have a good line. She was going just as well (as Katchy Lady and Canary Row) and she could be one for Royal Ascot. Chris said the ground was fast, it would be as quick as she wants it. Mine always improve for the run and that's the way I like to have it.
Cay Verde too good for the Irish
He's a smashing little horse . he's not very big but he has a lot of quality. He's improving the whole time and he just has so much ability and speed. He idled in front which is a little bit of a worry and he'll probably go to Royal Ascot now for the Norfolk. I don't think he'd go over six but I'd suppose we'll have a look at the Coventry . I have another couple of nice ones for that as well. My two-year-olds have been going great on bad ground at the start of the season. Normally though they like the ground on top and I couldn't believe my luck when I got here.
Irish can’t manage Tiddliwinks
Power is so well-named
They went a very good gallop and my horse was nice and relaxed. I just creeped away and got plenty of cover. Ryan (Moore) rode him at Newmarket and he told me for the first half of the race he felt like a very good horse. He said he just didn't come down the hill on the ground that day.
No problems for 90% Emulous
I'm delighted with her. She's a proper Group 1 filly and when she won the Matron she beat a very good field. She usually takes a run and she was a number of kilos up coming here today, she was about 90 per cent. The steady early pace suited as we weren't looking for a mad gallop. The Windsor Forest at Royal Ascot would be the logical progression now, that was a nice comeback and she's done well from four to five.
A small measure of compo for Bolger & Manning
We know where he was a couple of years ago when he was third to Frankel. We never found any reason why his form tapered off but we've not given up hope and hopefully we'll get him back in time. He could go for the Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown. As for Parish Hall there will be no update until Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully we'll see good improvement. He is on antibiotics. We'll regroup with him and we could try to get him to Royal Ascot but that would be doubtful.
169/1 double for Bolger & Manning
Little fish are sweet. He was supposed to be the third leg of a treble today but of course we didn't get to run the other one (Parish Hall). He'll (Aquilonius) probably have another run before going to the July Sales.
