Pretty smooth from C'est Ca
It's not before his time. I hope this is a good omen for Hurricane Fly as he races in the same colours (those of George Creighton). He got it all together today and he has more ability than he's been showing us. I thought he had enough speed to win over two miles but he could go over three miles too as he stays and handles very soft ground. I'll look to find a winners of one with him now.
Bill blitzes her rivals
She will go to Limerick next on the 13th of March (for the Dawn Run, Grade 3 Mares Novice Chase) that's the plan. Davy said he was delighted with her. In fairness she is a great jumper, that ground wouldn't be the nicest - it's loose, deep and tacky.
Hat beats Euro in thriller
We'll see if we can get another little handicap for him on nicer ground. He seems to be improving. He had been disappointing. Hopefully he is going the right way now. He lost his way after his maiden hurdle, hopefully nice ground might rejuvenate him.
Wicklow Lad toughs it out
He got a hell of a raise for winning in Thurles (a few runs back). I thought what he got was nuts but the handicapper just said to me there now - wasn't I right!. I thought that might have been enough to stop him from winning again. I always say to the young fella (Keith Donoghue) not to hit him as he doesn't like it.
Another Navan double for Russell
I think the blinkers made a difference. He was sweeter today. Davy was very happy with him. He got an entry in the four-miler and I'll have to talk to Michael and Eddie (O'Leary, the owners) and see what the story is. He is in a few of the handicaps as well so we'll see what happens.
Craic scores for Cash & Murphy
He is two years trying to win one but he got there in the end. He got a great ride and he is a great honest horse. He keeps galloping and jumping. I'd have loved to have a double (his other runner Burnt Oil Babe finished 3rd to The Hard Hat) but we will take one. The handicapper gave him a chance and I have to thank him for that. The horse was running out of chances.
