Madeira proves a tasty winner for Roche
that was a weak little affair but the drop of rain last night did her no harm - she'll go for a handicap next. She is owned by Comerford brothers (Comerford Brothers Ltd) who own Comerford Cakes in Newbridge, hense the name Madeira Girl! They are big into dogs but this is a new venture for them.
Prince helps ex-Jock to first training win
it's great to get that monkey off my back! Prince Jock was unlucky at Leopardstown the last time, as a horse got loose and he was left in the stalls for ages and he hates that. His run at Limerick before that was very good and he will now go for something similar. He likes a break between his races and is best when fresh. He'll probably run again in three to four weeks. I have 17 in training at the moment but the gate is always open for new horses!

Effortless win for 'plunge' horse
Time Of My Life improved with the step up in trip and did well over the winter. He was a weak looking horse last year and I don't know where he'll go next.
Smullen completes double
I didn't think he'd handle the ground and neither did Pat (Smullen) - he never before won without 'Firm' in the going description. He is well handicapped on the Flat and hopefully he'll win another one but is a better hurdler and is rated 120 over them. That might get him into the Galway Hurdle but if it doesn't, he'll have to run in another race before then. I'm looking forward to the summer with him.
Caim Hill records eighth win
that will have done his confidence a lot of good. He got a heavy fall at Clonmel one day and he lost his confidence over fences and hurdles since then. He'll go to Punchestown on Wednesday week for the Conyngham Cup.
