the plan was to give him a run to get some experience and then go for a bumper. He always showed a good bit at home. He was just a big weak horse last year. He schooled well and Richie was happy that he stayed at it well. It’s grand to get the maiden out of him and he may go to the sales. He’s a Dark Angel so he could always run on the Flat. It’s great to get a winner as the horses have been running well without winning and it has been a bit frustrating.

he handled conditions which was a big plus out there today. You either handle it or you don’t. He won in Navan a few weeks ago and has improved since. He’s a typical Colm Murphy horse — tough and keeps improving.

it’s great to get him back to winning ways. He did a little bit of work during the week which was fantastic and we decided to come here. Paul said he really enjoyed himself and we’ll see where we go from here. He’s in everything at Cheltenham - he’s run great races there but it’s hard to find a race that he can win at Cheltenham. There is also Aintree so we’ll have to talk to the owners and see where we go. He’s a real favourite of (owners) Marie and Joe Donnelly.

he (Blue Sari) jumped great except for the last. He was just a bit long at it but he was fine. He might stay at home and we could look at the Grade 1 two and a half miles novice in Fairyhouse at Easter. Easter is late so we may find something in the meantime.

she’s a good mare and she did it well. She’s entered at Thurles on Thursday and she’ll run again off a penalty. That’s 37 winners for the season and we’ll hit 40 please God.

she’s always worked well but we could never get to the end of her. You would always think there was a bit more and today she showed that there was plenty. She’s tough and is from a staying family. She’s a real nice mare and we’ll see what happens after this.
