Benson off the mark on Hope
We knew she was in very good form and she has been banging on the door all year. That was Danny's first ride for us and he gave her a peach, riding to instructions. Jarlath is gone to the North with 3 runners and he'll be delighted.
Daffodil blooms back in trip
She disappointed in the Curragh when we expected her to run a bigger race. That was her first run for me though and we dropped her in trip and he gave her a good ride. It is my first winner with my first horse for the owner. I'm delighted as our families go back a long way.
Gossamer Seed doesn't disappoint
We've always thought a lot of her and she could be anything. We'll leave her off now until the spring and then step her up in distance.
Sales bound Road gains a Victory
Billy said he'd win another one. He is set for the sales in Newmarket though so that's the road he'll be going.
Doubles all round for Howley & Murphy
That was a great performance and we're delighted with the horse. He is genuine . very tough. He has options now . hurdles, Group company or the sales in Newmarket. We'll bring him to the sales anyway and see what he makes. He is a diamond so it'll be easy to polish him up. I was expecting a big run too from the filly. I thought we could be second with Silver Tide even though she is only rated 79. She was unlucky (hampered over two furlongs).
Byrne excels on Anam Chara
She deserved it as she is a filly that has been putting her best foot forward all year. She was beaten a short head and took plenty out of herself at Roscommon so we freshened her up and she had a good comeback run at Dundalk last time. We were hoping she'd run well although I was a bit scared of top-weight. That's probably her finished for the year and she has an engagement at Doncaster Sales. Daryl gave her a fantastic ride.
Kingdom is O'Brien's 100th of the season
Cocozza steps up a place from his debut
He is a fine horse and he did it well. He had good form and we'd have been disappointed if he didn't win there. There is not much left for him now, the Killavullan will come too quickly for him. He had a little setback which delayed him, only for that he'd have been out before now and then we'd have gone for the Killavullan. Anyway he is a good looker, he has a good pedigree and hopefully he'll be a good horse next year.
