Nanamour shows her battling qualities
I'm delighted for Gerry (Callanan) who bred her. A half-sister of hers runs later (Carried). We have been persistent with her. She hit her head in the stalls one day when we put a tongue tie on her and she wasn't reacting out of them after that. I just thought of here then without the stalls. Leigh gave her a lovely positive ride and she got into a nice rhythm and in fairness to her she fought back so I'm delighted with that. It's important to win a maiden before she goes back handicapping. She showed a lot of promise early on but I was disappointed with her the last while. I just think she was saving a bit but Leigh got it out of her today. She has all the look of a hurdler.
Last-gasp success for Recollection
She was beaten everywhere bar the last stride. It's never a good sign when you are off the bridle that early. She just didn't take to the track and didn't help Shane at any stage but what she does do is stay and she is from staying family.

She is the first horse I have for Bill (Foley) and he has two of them with me now. She is called after his deceased wife (Penny). Bill is just out of hospital so this is a good tonic for him.
Henry's Girl gives Berry two in Tramore
We needed to be patient with her. She is probably better over a mile and a half than she was over two. She didn't quite get two. She has kept on improving. She was a little bit unlucky at Tipperary, she didn't jump out of the stalls. Hopefully she can keep creeping up the handicap.
Magnetic Force has all the power
Our luck wasn't great lately but this lad always gets us back on the winning line. Every year he wins for the lads (Round Table Gang Syndicate) and they have been very lucky with him. He is in again tomorrow. We will see if he eats up and he might turn out again.
Hazariban brings up Foley's double
We are delighted. Shane felt there was no pace on and he just picked it up and he said he liked it up in front. He stayed at it fairly well.
