It was a good performance as I didn't think he would handle the sticky ground,. He likes a bit of nice ground. Jumping is his trump card. He hits flat spots in his races, I'm not sure if it's to do with the ground. He's a funny individual and it's a family trait. I think that was a weak enough race. I might let him off for a while and then try him on goodish ground.

It's a big relief for me as I had a family bereavement - my brother died this week. It's a little lightness, it's wonderful to come here and have a win,. She's a lovely lovely mare and really wants to race and enjoys it. We'll put her away now and bring her back in the autumn for a jumping campaign.
