Karanelle is another winner for the Bobbetts
Mighty Craic for O'Keeffe followers at Cork
He was rolling back the years today. He always had ability but didn't jump out of stalls the last few times. He has been flying this year and has never moved as well.
Sky Marshal justifies favouritism for Byrnes & Brouder
he had a good run at Galway (finished third) and had been knocking on the door for a while. The last horse (Byrnes' Give Battle) I rode in the earlier race was just unlucky but I had luck in my corner there.
Double for Brouder as Miss McIroy gains overdue first win
when she gets crowded out of it she throws in the towel but she always run well here and I said to Kevin to ride her on the outside and what a ride he gave her. She has been unlucky here a few times and I had a horse finish second at Naas earlier today as well. My horses are running well, I have 10 riding out for the summer and have five more to come in.
Punters nibble at Charm as he scores for McInerney
We were very disappointed with him the last day when we put a hood on him and he completely switched off and never travelled. Ryan (Treacy, jockey then) thought he flipped his palate coming down the straight so we said we'd stick the tongue-tie on him and ride him up with the pace. Donie (McInerney) said he was falling asleep racing down the back straight and had to give him a smack but hopefully that might buck him up now. He needs to grow up a bit, we'll keep him on the go and we'll look to go back to Listowel for a race there in September.
Well-bred Drury takes the bumper at Cork
She is a half-sister to Champ and it was very important to get a win for her. Her owners deserve a lot of credit as she has been in out yard for over a year and we've really struggled to keep condition on her. It took us until now to train her properly and today is more of a reflection on her ability than her first two runs. A lot of the girls in the yard deserve a lot of credit as they did a lot of flat work and lungeing with her. We'll look for a hurdle race now; she 's not a middle of winter mare.
