Glen provides Ryan with first track success
I have my licence about four years and that's two winners this weekend. The fifteen-year-old Risk It Paddy won the four mile race for me at Kinsale point-to-point yesterday. He has won the two four mile point-to-point races this year.
Foster & Allen combine for poignant win
this win couldn't have come with better timing as her owner Eric Allen's wife Sarah passed away from cancer last week. They live in England but members of their family have come over from America and they all watched the race on TV at their home.
Groovy springs 16/1 surprise for Harrison
She has her ground and she got a good positive ride from David which she needed as she is the lazy type. She was a bit below form and needed to get her act together, which she did. She is a great jumper and she will go chasing at some stage. It is unfortunate for Martin Burke (rode her the last day but suffered a suspected fractured collarbone at Tramore on Friday).
Bang bounces back to form
I told the owners (James Murtagh) not to come and I was on the verge of taking him out as I thought the ground was too quick. He was unlucky in the Cork National and he ran a cracker here last September. Danny gave him a great ride.
Liz's completes 356/1 double for Splaine
Russell returns with a Cracker for Hourigan!
it's nice for Mr Cracker to win as it's his first win in two years. He's a fair horse though and appreciated the better ground. There's a conditions race at Roscommon in ten days time for him next.
George returns to the track in style
His point-to-point form was bad and that was the worry coming here today. Bar his first point-to-point all his runs came on soft ground. He has to have good ground and the bigger fences were in his favour today. We were keeping him for Cheltenham but the ground came up too soft and the he then didn't qualify for Aintree. It wasn't the strongest of races and I'll speak to Ann & Alan (winning owners) to see whether or not we will sell him. We could keep him for hunter chases but it will depend on what handicap mark he will get.
Another for Flynn as King comes good
