Redstaroverchina springs 40/1 surprise
I was talking to myself after the way she ran the first day but she picked up and learned today.
Well-regarded Treasure shows her ability
I've loved her from the start. She's a breeze-up that got a muscle injury, and it has taken quite a while to get her sound. Seamie thinks she is better than that.
Boyne battles to victory at Naas
I thought he ran a big race at Galway but he just didn't get the trip. Five or six furlongs is his trip or an easy seven but he would not get it in Galway. There has to be a slight ease in that ground (officially good to firm) as he won't let himself down otherwise. There is certainly no jar in it.
Dawn's brother gets off the mark
He is not as precocious as his brother and it will not be until next year that we see the best of him. He could step up in distance, and we will have to have a good think about where we go next.
Berry rocks on with Texas win
He handles that ground better than most and wants seven furlongs or a mile. He'd a couple of good runs and deserved that win. There is a strong headwind and we didn't really want to make it. Luckily one of Ger's (Greek Canyon) went on. We'll have a look now at the Cambridgeshire, and also the big seven-furlong handicap on Irish Champions Weekend.
Hayden on the mark with Ashford
That makes up for Kildare yesterday! . He was working real well. The last day the ground was very firm and he kind of pulled himself up on it. I was talking to the jockeys and they said it was safe today. Hopefully there is another one in him.
Octavia makes all under King for Marnane
She always worked well and I was getting frustrated with her. She wasn't being un-genuine but just got nabbed a few times. I'm delighted for the Global Equine Syndicate who bought three yearlings two years ago and two of them have now won. They will go again this year. She is in tomorrow at Cork and we will see how she pulls out before making a decision.
