Cnoc Rua got ‘no run' at Ballinrobe the last day and I needed him to run again before selling him . he is a dual Flat winner and his rating has fallen to 62 now, which he should win off.
Salesin sails to hat-trick success
I was surprised Salesin won as there is a cut in the ground here . to me, all his best for had been on firm ground but he surprised me today. We'll hav to go home and think about things now and he may go chasing soon.
Ainama bolts in for Maddens double
I have Ainama since June and the manner in which he won surprised me. He wasn't working brilliantly and I was more hopeful than confident he would win . I've no plans from here.
Slievecorragh scores for Flood/Walsh
he had to battle well to win today but he was entitled to win on ratings. Handicaps are so competitive and difficult to win but these conditions suit Slievecorragh nicely. I think he can still win a race on the Flat but I have no real plans for him next.
Matchbook makes most of Martinstown Opportunity
David (Splaine) gave Matchbook a great ride and while I told him to wait and wait before hitting the front with the horse, Val San Vito's exit was an obvious help to us. We may run Matchbook again at Wexford on Friday.
Coleman back in winner's enclosure
I thought the race may have come a bit too quick from Galway but I wasa trying for two months to get him into a hurdle race. Things went his way today as he was lucky not to get brought down at the third last.
