Shadagann supplies Corby with another win
He ran a great race in Listowel and he just got mugged on the line. He had plenty -of weight today and a wide draw but Sean is riding great and I would say the cheek-pieces helped him a bit as well - they just made it easier for him to concentrate. It is nice to win for Paul (Rooney, winning owner) as he has been patient with him. We bought him a year ago out of John Oxx's and he should be able to pay his way and give Paul a bit of fun. Paul (from Castlewellan) has been a great supporter of the yard win, lose or draw.
Ted gets there in time in Grade 3 Kilbegnet
Maybe he wasn't great at one down the back but the man who rode him knows him, he knew what he was at, he got the best out of him and we got the right result in the end. It was a great pot to win and he has done us all proud. He is not the biggest in the world and he is probably not scopey enough to be top class over fences but he has plenty of heart and that counts for a lot. He has his own way of doing things. He is not a soft ground horse. We thought last winter we might get decent ground at a few places but he never really got it and it just didn't work out the way we planned.

Aoife best in Roscommon finale
She'll be a better mare over hurdles. She ran in two very messy bumpers and she's a good staying mare for the likes of two and a half miles. She'll go over hurdles now and she jumps well. She's improving with every run. She'd like nice ground and we'll run her in a maiden hurdle in a couple of weeks and we'll see if we'll finish up after that.
