Tierney turns Corner
Boland's Corner is from a German Flat pedigree and loved that good ground. The first-time blinkers seemed to turn him inside out too and while he had a good run two runs back, my horses were sick when he ran last. He'll go for a handicap hurdle next and, while not overly big, should jump a fence in time.
The Big Boyo scores easy win
The Big Boyo was entitled to win this and always looked a chaser. He had been beaten previously by decent quality horses and the blinkers helped him concentrate. He may have one more run this season provided there is some ease in the ground.
Mangan off to a flyer!
that is a fantastic result! Jane has won two point to points on Conna Castle but that was her first racecourse ride. She is a fifth year student in Fermoy, worked for Aidan O'Brien last summer and she will go back to Ballydoyle again this summer. We didn't overly fancy Jamie's Darling but she will go out on grass now and should make a nice hurdler next season.
