Carolina's blunder hands the opener to Flyer
She won her bumper here before well and she seems to be coming back to herself now. She will go chasing down the line.
Casimir & Carberry make a good team
I was a little bit worried about the ground but it didn't seem to bother him and he galloped through it. The jockey was good too. His owner (Patrick McKeon) is a Tipperary man and he would be keen to go to Killarney. He will probably mix it now between the flat and hurdles.
Well backed Saint makes it two on the bounce
Andrew kept him out wide on the better ground and he was travelling all the way. It was definitely a benefit that he kept wide. I thought the ground might be too soft for him but it's not deep it's slushy.
Sorted springs 16/1 surprise
Things suited him there today. Claiming seven pounds put him in off a fairly low mark (carried 10-1).
Double for Kiely as Kilbarry sluices home
She lived up to what I had hoped for at Clonmel. Nina rode her there and wasn't too hard on her and she has shown the benefit of that now. It took a long time for the penny to drop with her to race. Hopefully she will go on from here. I'm delighted Derek was back to ride her as there are very few like him to be able to hold her together on ground like that.
Byerley now three from three at Cork
His form was good in the autumn but he lost his way a bit on real winter ground. We probably had a bit of luck there but we will take it. I don't think he was in love with being in front as he held his head high, he might be better suited to being dropped in. He will run in handicaps now.
Old boy Ransom makes all to take the last
He is a horse that has been plagued with injuries and he was nearly put down as a 6yo as he severed a tendon. I thought he would need the race today. He'd like better ground but it's quite loose and they were getting through it.
