Park off the mark in style
I suppose if she had got beaten in that it'd have been a long journey home. She did it well and we didn't complicate things,. She was entitled to win her race and had some good form. Hopefully she could be a bit better over a fence as at times she makes a little too much of her hurdles. She'll have to go handicapping now and if we could stick to mares' company it would be great. Bryan comes down to us once a week and is a great help and is a very experienced chap and I'll absolutely take him when he is available.

Final flight drama as The Granson gains first win
I was very afraid of Gordon's horse (Crezic) and on paper you'd say he shouldn't beat him but you can't run away from one either. I was hanging nicely down the home straight and it was a good job he had the stands' rail because I couldn't steer him and couldn't get a good belt into him. I don't know how well Jack (Kennedy, Crezic) was going but my lad keeps going. In his bumpers all he was doing was galloping and he had some good form. I'm delighted for his owners Padraig Coffey (from Portarlington) and his son-in-law Tadhg Maher (who runs a bar in Lanzarote) as this horse had had stop-starts and gaps between his runs with small issues. It's grand to repay them and hopefully he can go on to something better.
Mahler rallies to win mares handicap
She is a nice mare and did well in that ground as she was stuck in it a bit jumping,. She was unlucky at Tramore and it's great to win for the syndicate as they have had a great bit of patience to wait for this. She's not a very big mare and will be grand for those races for the summer.
Ballea Fox lands Limerick gamble
the step up to three miles helped him and the tongue-tie was also a big help. I didn't think he'd go as well as that but was hoping he'd be in the first four anyway and run well. He surprised me a bit there. He's flat bred by Multiplex but I think he wants a cut in the ground and I don't think he'd go on very good ground. I'll try and find another similar race next.
Tim Hyde keeps up family tradition
Tim is in school and he got a kick out of it I'd say!. He (Feelin' Groovy) is only a little fellow and wasn't bought for this job but is a good jumper. I'll run him in a winners' bumper for the young lad to ride. He'll then jump hurdles but I'd say he wouldn't be able to look out over fences!
