Rightplacerightime for Foley and O'Donnell
That's a nice early Christmas present,. The form of his last race was very good, very solid. Poor Liam was laid up this morning at the last minute, Barry came in and rode a very nice race for me. It's a family we're very familiar with. He's one I bought and he's from Aine Dubh's family. We know how to train that family.
Townend predicts bright future for Lil after impressive Naas win
She always works well at home and she showed it there,. She needs a bit of practice hurdling, we only jumped four there, and we'll get a bit more into her at home. I think she can be a good novice hurdle mare. She put that to bed very quickly and she couldn't have been any more impressive for me. With her jumping she just needs a bit of practice at it.
Tap Tap and it's a double for Mullins and Townend
Alfie shows a liking for Naas again
I needed it badly,. He went back to the owner, he schooled him and he got caught up in wire. He gave a lot of trouble with a hind leg after and we were worried during the week as he was resting it and taking all the weight off it. Other than that we were thrilled with him. He's still able to do an ould bit even though age is coming against him. You can always depend a bit on him. He likes it here and that makes a difference as well, he'll hardly be around for another year though but we'll see what way it will be. A win is a win anytime and we're happy to get that out of him anyway.
6/1 Naas hat-trick for Mullins and Townend
The Long Mile lands gamble for McManus and Dempsey
It was lovely to win with him, it was a weak contest but it was grand to win it,. It took him the whole straight too. He was very novicey and I was surprised by that but I suppose they were going a gallop. He's versatile enough trip wise, he'd want to improve a little bit too. He didn't win over hurdles or anything so it's great to get the win.
Lady Temperance wins on debut for Furini and Mullins
I think she's a nice mare,. The owner (and breeder, Daniel Furini) is an Italian man and he's bought a place in Kilkenny. He's a very good owner, he's lovely. She's a nice filly and I'm impressed with her. She's a good genuine solid filly and it's a good track to win on. She was a little bit green and there should be a lot of improvement in her. She's something to look forward to. I'm delighted with her and delighted for Daniel.
