Ninth course win for Inishmot Prince
He was going nowhere at the beginning of the straight, the usual. A strong pace and he seems to know where the line is!. He just got stopped at the wrong time as well and just had to snatch him up. He seems to love it up here. He always does it the hard way!. Newcastle for the All-Weather Championships is definitely what I am looking at now. I'd probably rather go to Newcastle (than Lingfield). He deserves to get a decent pot at this stage. I'm still of the opinion that he will win on grass. He ran a blinder on his first run back in Bellewstown where he finished out in his normal way. Then he seemed to lose his form more than anything else, he just wasn't firing. Maybe it is just here, but he has earned a try at Newcastle. He's a nice horse to be able to run in those type of races.
Market support proves spot on as Tarsus scores
He is a horse that is improving all the time. You could say he was unlucky here the last night, things went wrong and he got hampered up the straight a bit. I didn't think we would beat Harry's Bar, but there was good prize money. We thought we would have a crack. There's another conditions race here in a month's time and he might run in that. We'll take it from there as it comes.
Royal Ascot on the agenda for Tyson Fury
I suppose a little worry carrying that weight - it is hard to give away weight even though he is a very good horse. We love him and can't wait until he goes hurdling. He has been schooled and he jumps well. He doesn't want soft or heavy ground, so it could be spring or summer jumping. We wouldn't mind a day out in (Royal) Ascot with him on the Tuesday in the 2m4f handicap. We will probably run him in that for the owner. He'll stay on nice ground there. We think a bit of him, he has been rated that high since he was a three-year-old. He has a big profile and has run in a lot of big races, and he was unlucky to meet the horse (Elegant Man) the last day here. I'm delighted for my mum as she has been waiting for a good one since Make A Challenge. He's exciting.
Take Me To Church records another polytrack win
He's a dogged little fella. I just said to Ronan to be positive with him and he will keep finding. When I saw him go off the bridle two and a-half out, I wasn't overly concerned because he's a fighter. He certainly showed that again today and is very willing. You'd say that a crack at a mile should be within his remit. I think Ronan is adamant that he will be a better horse on turf. We'll look forward to the turf with him.
McCourt and Ryan double up with Arbaawi
I fancied him, I thought he was staying on very well the last day and just got murdered a furlong down. I'd say he is an honest enough horse and I think he wants every bit of the mile myself. It was seven the last day. To me, all he does is keep galloping. James gave him a great ride, he was very calm on him. He gave him a chance to find his feet and lucky enough he got the bit of a gap and picked up. I bought him at the Horses in Training Sale at the end of October. He handled the all-weather and he handled soft on grass. He looks very versatile and I just said at three and a half (thousand) I had to take the chance at that kind of money. I got a few lads together for him and I still own half of him. As I say, he has form on soft ground so we have options now.
McConnell full of praise for Kennedy after Gatsby Cap success
We couldn't believe the price because he was a little bit unlucky the last time and he won the time before. He's an old boy and he probably knows more about the game than probably me and Keithen as well!. He's a lovely horse, he's a real happy little horse. When he's in that vein of form, he's good. A mile is perfect for him and he obviously likes it up here. I have to say Chris Hayes told me to put the cheekpieces back on him, so I owe him a little thank you. It is great to win with these fun horses.
Exquisite Acclaim leads home 1-2 for McGuinness
Tom O'Connor (part owner) rang me this morning and said 'I think you should let that horse bowl along today'. He's usually very quick out and fair play to Tom. We mightn't have done that before that, but we were always going to sit handy. We said we would be brazen and just send him on, and we did. He (Adam Caffrey) gave it a smashing ride and Cian (MacRedmond) gave the other horse (runner-up Hightimeyouwon) a great ride as well. He was unlucky and you couldn't fault either of them. The runner-up has lost little in defeat, but he's getting a few quid. He's (Exquisite Acclaim) a bit of a tricky character, but Adam was very good on him and he was strong on him. He had some very good form as a three-year-old horse and he cost a bit of money. At least he has got a few quid and they are having a bit of fun with him. He has been very consistent up here all winter.
Keane opens 2024 account to send punters home happy
It is great to get Colin, he's a local man too. He was very strong on him in the finish, he takes a bit of that the horse. Isn't it amazing what a win does to a horse? It boosts their confidence and, even at home, he has a pep in his step. I don't know how far the horse will take us. I think he will jump a hurdle in time too, we schooled him at home and he is able to jump. He'll tell us (about coming back here) and then the turf will be opening up. He obviously wants nice ground. We have a few options.
